Laser-assisted gum care
A dental laser may be used for selected periodontal procedures when Dr Robin Ratcliffe considers it clinically appropriate. The decision follows a full assessment of your gums and supporting tissues.
Laser treatment is not a replacement for established periodontal care. Professional plaque removal, appropriate surgical techniques, daily home care and ongoing maintenance remain important parts of treatment where indicated.

Care led by Dr Robin Ratcliffe
Different periodontal problems require different approaches. Dr Robin will explain whether a laser has a useful role in your care, together with the alternatives and limitations.
If laser-assisted treatment is selected, the procedure, safety measures, anaesthetic and aftercare will be explained before you decide whether to proceed.

Why assessment matters
The value of a laser depends on using it for the right procedure, not treating it as a stand-alone solution.
