for your perfect smile
Traditionally, dentures and bridges have been the only options for replacing missing teeth. A dental implant is an artificial replacement for a tooth root, usually made from titanium. They are suitable for most adults with good general health and are a more permanent solution to replacing missing teeth.
Gaps in your teeth or missing teeth not only affect your confidence but also affect your ability to chew and enjoy your food.
Natural teeth can be missing for a variety of reasons such as tooth decay, injury or gum disease. A dental implant is designed to replace a missing tooth.
A titanium post is carefully placed into the jaw to mimic the function of a tooth root. Once the post has fused (integrated) with your bone, a crown is fitted within the titanium post, replicating the appearance and chewing functions of your missing natural tooth.
Multiple missing teeth or large gaps can now be replaced using dental bridges that are supported by several dental implants.
Gaps in your teeth can lead to increased stresses on your other teeth and affect the way you bite and chew. A dental bridge is a permanent fixture comprising one or more false teeth and is used to fill the gap after the natural tooth has been lost through injury or extraction.
Multiple dental implants can be placed to restore the gap. This can be as a combination of single implants and cosmetic crowns or a cosmetic bridge connecting implants together. The number of dental implants required depends on a number of factors and we will discuss this with you at the consultation.
Dental Implant secured dentures are sometimes called overdentures. As implant-supported full bridges and dentures will replace some of your tooth roots, the bone is better preserved. With conventional dentures, the bone that previously surrounded the tooth roots begins to deteriorate and shrink away. Dental Implants integrate with your jawbone, helping to keep the bone healthy and intact.
A lower denture may only need two conventional implants to give a completely life-changing transformation to your ability to chew foods and smile with renewed confidence. This treatment requires minimal surgery, and, in many cases, your current denture can be attached to the Dental Implants in just a few weeks.
Absolutely amazing, I have not been to the dentist in 5 years due to being needle phobic and having had a bad experience, Dr Kaly and Jess were amazing and so understanding, they talked me through the whole procedure, I would 100% recommend them, such a lovely practice with lovely staff
Dr Kaly went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and make the experience positive. She explained the process very clearly and reassured me that I was always in control. I would definitely recommend Dr Kaly to anyone looking for a dentist, especially if you are a nervous patient.
After a disastrous dentist experience a couple of years ago, I was very apprehensive about visiting the dentist ever again, however I should of never worried, Dr Kaly at Danbury Dental Care was fantastic. Dr Kaly and her nurse were so reassuring, made me feel so comfortable and completely at ease. Would recommend this dental practice!
I was Sedated on Friday for fillings and I was extremely Nervous!! But I had meetings with Kaly and the team leading up to it and phone calls and emails to ease my nerves and answer any questions I had! Which comforted me a lot!
From the initial phone call to Danbury Dental Care I was treated with respect. When I turned up for my first appointment I was greeted kindness and was made to feel very welcome. The dentist I saw was extremely understanding that I don't like the dentist very much but made me feel comfortable.
After not being to a dentist for years through fear i eventually found Danbury , My experience has changed my approach to visiting the dentist in the future .I felt important,at ease & relaxed throughout my treatmentEvery detail was explained to me bit by bit & I had the option not to know if that made me feel better.I recommend this Dentist 100% especially for nervous patients.
My hygienist...was extremely friendly and very thorough. She talked through everything she was doing-- best cleaning I've had in a while. Dentist asked a lot of questions and though I didn't have any major issues I felt she was a good listener and would be happy to go back here if I had any dental issues.
Dan and his team are absolutely top notch. I have used him/them for several years and the care, attention and service has been truly excellent. All staff clearly care and are very personable with good humor (where appropriate!). I highly recommend this practise :)
I can't thank Thinus and Karen enough for the fantastic care and advice I received about my implant. I've always been nervous of the dentist but Karen instantly put me at ease. I have visited one other dentist who wasn't much help, but Thinus identified the problem immediately which gave me a lot of confidence.
I am part way through Invisalign clear brace treatment. It is such a pleasure to visit Danbury Dental Care and chat with Kaly and her fabulous dental nurses Karen and Jess. It's the first time in my life that visiting a dental practice hasn't filled me with horror-I look forward to it now! Thank you Kaly for your wonderful care, your professionalism and the time you always have for me.
I have a ton of anxiety about these visits and have never been great with follow up but not this time. Everyone there does an amazing job of putting you at ease. The doctors are highly competent and compassionate as are all the assistants and hygienists that I’ve been lucky enough to meet. Really, it’s that good!
Well what can I say as a previously nervous patient. I found Dr Kaly on Facebook and couldn't believe how this practice treated new patients. The whole experience has completely turned my life around for the GOOD. I have never been treated so well in any other dentist my whole life and as a now 65 year old this is a massive feat.
