About the treatment
Dental implants are titanium fixtures placed in the jaw to support a crown, bridge or denture. They may replace one or more missing teeth when the gums, available bone and wider health assessment make implant treatment appropriate.
Our implant team has placed over 1,000 dental implants. CBCT imaging and digital planning may be used where clinically indicated, and IV sedation can be discussed for eligible nervous patients. A single implant with crown starts at £2,750. Longevity varies and depends on factors including healing, oral hygiene, smoking, gum health and regular maintenance.

A missing tooth can affect appearance, chewing and the position of neighbouring teeth, although the impact differs from person to person. An implant supports a restoration without relying on an adjacent tooth in the same way as a conventional bridge.

If you are over 18, keep your gums healthy and have enough bone, implants are usually an option. Active gum disease, bisphosphonate use or heavy smoking might delay treatment until managed.
